The garment-dyed colors have more depth than a standard blank tee. Shades such as moss, pepper, denim, blue jean, grey, and other earthy tones help the artwork feel like part of the shirt instead of something simply printed on top of it.

We did not create Back Porch Apparel to be worn once and forgotten in the back of a closet.

Back Porch Apparel is created by Turnmeyers in Front Royal, Virginia, at the northern entrance to Shenandoah National Park.
Many of our designs are influenced by the Blue Ridge Mountains, Skyline Drive, the Shenandoah River, small-town life, and the outdoor culture that surrounds us. Others are inspired by the people who live, work, hunt, fish, camp, travel, and spend their weekends making memories outside.
We create apparel that feels familiar—not because you have seen the same design everywhere, but because it reflects something you already love.
Why We Chose Quality Over the Cheapest Option
There are less expensive shirts available. We could have chosen a lighter blank, reduced the cost, and produced more styles faster.
But that would not have built the brand we wanted.
Back Porch Apparel is meant to feel like a real apparel company, not a collection of graphics placed on whatever shirt happened to be cheapest. The quality of the garment has to support the quality and story of the design.
